MYKONOS

October 13.2008

From Nafplia we drove up the Corinthian Peninsula, past the Corinthian canal to the Port of Pireus to board our cruise ship, The Aquamarine, a fifty yr old ship of the Louis Helenic
Cruise line for a four day cruise through the Greek Islands. Our first stop was the small island of Mykonos about half way across the Agean Sea to Turkey. It was a quaint town with very narrow winding streets meant to confuse and frustrate pirates. It did the same with tourists.

The other thing Mykonos is famed for is its peligans. They like to come ashore at night for handouts from the local fish markets and restaurants.
