The island of Crete is lovely. We chose not to go on the optioal tour, and instead walked around the town of Herakilon. As you see below, the harbor has colorful small fishing boats.
We walked down the breakwater, that had walkers and fishermen down its length.We went into the fort from the Venetian occupation, that is on the breakwater. It is filled with tunnels, one that was filled with cannonballs.
